On the occasion of the exhibition Robert Mapplethorpe. Le forme del classico, Le Stanze della Fotografia presents a calendar of educational activities designed and led by Aster team of guides to explore the exhibition's key themes.
The various programs are aimed at both children and teenagers.
For Primary Schools
THE HUMAN BODY: FROM PHOTOGRAPH TO DRAWING
A guided visit with hands-on activities in the exhibition, offering a fun and collaborative approach to learning about human body proportions.
Mapplethorpe’s focus on the beauty and harmony of faces and nudes gives students the opportunity to observe and learn how to draw the human form accurately, following classical proportional standards.
A playful workshop introduces an unconventional and enjoyable artistic technique, paired with collage—another medium dear to Mapplethorpe.

FOCUS ON BEAUTY
A guided tour of the exhibition exploring what has long been a central goal of art: the pursuit and expression of beauty and form, which Mapplethorpe reinterprets through a contemporary lens.
From collages to portraits and self-portraits, and through dialogue with classical sculpture, his work invites students to reflect both on the meaning of artistic representation and the contrast between fleeting images on social media and the studied compositions of master photographers.
