Le Stanze della Fotografia at MIA PHOTO FAIR in Milan

From March 20 to 23, 2025, Le Stanze della Fotografia will participate in MIA Photo Fair with its own institutional stand. On this occasion, a work by Robert Mapplethorpe (New York, 1946 – Boston, 1989) will be exhibited alongside the finalist works of the photography competition for young photographers, promoted by the Fondazione Le Stanze della Fotografia.

Through this initiative, Le Stanze della Fotografia reaffirms its role as a key reference point for the development and growth of the sector, celebrating photography culture and art.

The work by Robert Mapplethorpe, displayed at MIA Photo Fair together with the finalist works inspired by his art, will be the centerpiece of the stand as a preview of the exhibition "The Forms of the Classical". Curated by Le Stanze della Fotografia's artistic director, Denis Curti, in collaboration with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation in New York, the exhibition will be held from April 10, 2025, to January 6, 2026, at the Le Stanze della Fotografia exhibition space in Venice.
